Extra First Hand Class Experences
First Class: Switch Accesses and Eye Gaze
There are two experiences from the class I want to highlight that aren't covered by other aspects of the AT innovation projects. The first one of these is my experience from the first class with switch access and eye gaze technology. I really enjoyed this class experience by getting a first-hand experience of technology we talked about before but never got to experience. It was eye-opening to me how difficult and patient you have to be to use either switch access or eye gaze as your main form of communication and after doing this activity I had a newfound respect for those with disabilities that use these technologies every day.

Permobil and iBot Wheelchair Demonstrations
The second experience I want to mention is getting to try out the Permobil and iBot Wheelchairs and their demonstrations. I thought these were great experiences to understand what it was like to be in a wheelchair and the different type of options and features available with wheel chairs. I also found that experiencing the wheelchairs first hand gave some great insights into how it feels to be in one. Overall both wheelchair demonstrations were very meaningful experiences.
